Description
Hi,
there is a limit on the number of users you can retreive per query in ms active directory
as explained here : http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/ad/ad/enumerating_groups_that_contain_many_members.asp
Because of this, jahia shows empty groups when a group exceeds this limit.
(In our case, jahia 4.1 , with active directory on windows 2000, so a 1000 users per query limit).
There is a workaround for this, by defining ranges when querying, as explained here : http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/adsi/adsi/example_code_for_using_ranging_to_retrieve_members_of_a_group.asp
and here: http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=319839&tstart=0
Will the Jahia development team look to this issue in the near future, or has there been progress on this?
Will it be fairly easy to write my own ldap plugin for jahia (starting from the existing one) , that will implement these specifications?
Regards,
Tom
