ACL > Site Privilege: User see the content in staging rather than the published one

Cf parent JIRA for use case.

The content displayed in edit mode by end-user (Jenifer or John) is not the content available for "Visitor" in live published mode, but the content in staging/draft. As I understand it, the privilege role should grant access in the authoring environement to the live published content (it emulates the "visitor" role in Edit mode).

Then such user should see the published version of the content and not the staging content with ongoing modifications which they can perhaps not access to until final approval.

So possible to only load the published version of this content item in Edit mode rather than the last draft version?
