ACL picker: sorting is only done on the current view and not on all users data: quite difficult to sort by ascending order any fitler

I mounted a LDAP and I am trying to select some users. My current search filter query is delivering 101 results. I know that my username starts with a (= author). However it is impossible to use the sorting option as it only sort results displayed on the current view!

This should sort all the results and not only the current displayed view.
