Events tpl. when using a sort, the current selection (based on dates) is lost

If you choose a date in the calendar, the events list displays only the upcoming events.
For instance with the demo, select any date in march, thhere will be 2 events available.
Then make a sort "display by location" -> the 4 events are displayed, sorted by location, where a normal user will most probably think his current list of 2 items will be sorted. Filters shouldn't be reset.

in the same way, when the title (latest events) won't be static anymore, this title shouldn't be lost if the list is sorted.
