multilanguage: errors with users having edition rights only on a part of the page

I have created a virtual site with english as first language
I have published my home page
I have then added french and german
I have created an authors group, created two users, put one in authors group, the other one in administrators
I have given RW- rights to authors group on topmenu container list

I access home page in english with my author in edit mode, as I can edit a part of it.
I switch to french -> I get a 403 error, maybe because it has no title in this language and because I am not allowed to set it
I click on back, and get an exception (see trace.txt )
I have no such problem with an administrator user
