restore container does retore only the current language, but a new version is created also in the other language

• I updated in french and english an existing container then validated the changes
• through the edit action of the container in french, I rolled back to previous version

in french the content was rolled back to the previous content, but not in english, however a new version was created in staging mode in both languages. Either restore is per language and thus it should create only a new version for the language the content is restored, or it is per object and thus content in all languages should be restored.
