404 bad redirect on home page

Hej Jahia,

I hope someone here can clear this up for me:

Recent versions of Jahia do not show proper error pages for file not found (404),
instead the front page is shown (no redirect, and 200 OK from.

This applies to a clean install of 5.0.2 (recent sp's)

This is wrong: http://www.jahia.net/demo5/Jahia/nowhere
This is correct (404 error): http://www.jahia.net/jahia/Jahia/nowhere

1. I know Jahia error pages are precompiled and can be overwritten by removing servlet-mapping.
This is not the issue.
2. I know Jahia can have per site custom error pages, and this is also not the issue , since
no error page (Jahias own or mine is even shown).

Am I missing something?
